Sometimes we ask ourselves: "What are my goals for the next six months?" "How do I increase revenue?" "What do I want to happen in the business?"
But just before we write another list on the board/pad/note on the phone – it's worth stopping and asking one simple question:
Because not every goal is worth the race.
Not every goal advances us. Not every aspiration produces a result. Sometimes we chase after something – just because we've gotten used to saying "we need to". Sell more. Open a course. Recruit employees. Market every day.
But if we turn down the noise for a moment – we can examine:
Does this goal really excite me? Is it connected to my values, to the customers I really want? Does it contribute to the business – or just another task on the calendar?
And the most important question:
Smart goals aren't ones that make us run faster. They're ones that make us
So, just before you decide what to do next quarter, sit down with yourself. Not to ask what you want
That's where the real goal lies. And that's where marketing begins, coming from a place of connection – not just effort.
